Our personnel have been performing PGD since 1991. We were the first to develop PGD tests for aneuploidy and translocations. Up to 15th September 2005, we have performed 5614 PGD cycles involving the diagnosis of over 51,018 embryos. Of 3460 replacements with follow up information we have achieved 1249 pregnancies (average maternal age 38.1 ).
Reprogenetics has a unique database and analysis methods to track and compare results of PGD patients to untreated patients. In our expert hands, PGD usually increases implantation rates and decreases spontaneous abortion (Munn et al. 1999, Human Reprod, 14:2191-2199; Munn et al. 2003, Reprod Biomed Online, 7:91-97; Munn et al. 2000, Fertile Sterile 73:1209-1218).
Reprogenetics is the first and only PGD reference center licensed by the State of New York Department of Health (DOH) to perform PGD for any indication (aneuploidy, translocations, gene defects). The NY DOH is the only agency in the USA regulating PGD as of September 2005.
